With a strong low D in the bass, Donald Fagen's "Morph the Cat" from the album of that name (a Qobuz high-res stream) is my current bass-extension hot-read. With its contrary motion bass glissandi, Lou Reed's classic "Walk on the Wild Side" gives an excellent overview of the 40-100 Hz range, and while the DALIs didn't match either of my 30 Hz-capable reference speakers in weight and extension over the bottom fourth or so of musical notes, it showed ample bottom to effectively sketch out the musical argument and my ears did not feel terribly shortchanged. Bottom octave presentation? Check: No 5.25-inch two-way is going to deliver much of the bottom octave-and-a-half of musical sound, but in my setup the Oberon 1 appeared to honor its maker's claim of response tobelow50Hz(-3dBat51Hz).
